A friend was mentioned in the news yesternite. And it came as a shocker. Abdul Basheer or more affectionately known as AB while he was at Drew, was arrested last Feb by the Internal Security Department. He was apparently making plans to join and fight with the Talibans in Afghanistan.

I knew AB as the tall indian muslim who always come to talk to the lawyers I was working for previously. Our relationship was a hello-hi-bye-(smiley) one. Until his last day of pupillage. He emailed me asking if I was single. And after a few more emails, he came over to talk to me. He passed me his friend's picture and I went out with AB's friend for a couple of years.

Because of AB's efforts, I'm married to Najib now.
