Deary me,

A year has almost passed! I've been getting questions why Aqeel keeps having a haircut cos thats the last post on my blog for the past couple of months! (ok 11 months to be exact). Hey, i've been busy ok?! Be fair will you? :p

I really have been pretty occupied. In fact at this moment of typing, I'm waiting in the car for the husband to come out from the ICA building with a brand new passport. Will need it for our short trip to Bintan this Thursday.

So as always, a short summary of what's been happening in my life the past months:
- Aqeel turned 18 months on 7 November and he can officially go to playgroup now. We've selected Cherie Hearts (but have yet to make payment) so yes, the little boy is big now and is going to school in a months time. Goodbye nenek and atok, hello teachers and friends.

- I've quit ESPN. Am going to be working at Suntec - will reveal name of co when i start. Sorry about all that secrecy but i bet all my readers know where I'm going (haha, i need more readers!) I've got my fingers burnt slightly for changing jobs (and minds) within weeks but I believe its for the best for myself and for my family. I've hurt feelings and disappoint people in the process of changing jobs and I'm really sorry. I just pray that the decision I made is a wise one.

- I've launched July Favors!! Now thats the highlight of the year! Thanks to my dearest chabs, we managed to launch JF in a blink of an eye!! We've even gone for an exhibition and sales are slow but steady now. I'm so happy to have a business to call my own!

- I'm also launching Keep Printing with Najib in December. That's coming right up so for all your printing needs, do come to us!

Life is pretty the same besides that. I just turned a year older. So did Najib. And so did our relationship. We're 3 years on into our marriage now. Still holding strong. Still loving every moment. As the husband said before, should time stand still, cherish this moment.

Ok that sure has no relevance but an ending is better than none. Ha!

Aqeel's head was starting to look like it was growing a mane rather than normal human being baby hair so we decided that he needed a snip snip.

We were at Parkway and found a salon specially for kids and so...

Here are some pics of the boy with me translating his thoughts.

"EH! TAU POTONG KE TAK NI? KITA NAK ARMANI LAAAAA...BUKAN CREW CUT HOKAY!! TSK!"

I couldnt get a smiling picture of the end result because the end result saw the boy climbing out of the seat and hanging on to me for dear life. Maybe he thought the aunty had other plans for the scissors. Don't worry la Aqeel, kan dah sunat!! *looks at Ariz* hmmm....

November? November already? End of November already??!!!

Oh my gawd…its been what? *counts fingers* 3 months since I last updated? Ok, my ass should so be smacked! I’m so bad at reminding myself that I should diligently update every week no matter how busy I am. Maybe I should key-in an auto reminder in my phone. Can someone please remind me to do that please? -___-

Ok so here’s a brief summary of what happened in Aqeel’s life the past 3 months:
- Aqeel turned 6 months (dah besau anak aku)
- Aqeel has 2 bottom teeth now
- Aqeel can sit up for a while (lepas tu terus dia senget)
- Aqeel can turn & slide
- Aqeel loves remote controls (and all other electronic devices)
- Aqeel loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse & Backyardigans (and Barney but I’m not going to write that down) :p

Here are other things that are worth mentioning:
- My dearest cousin Nur Salmah gave birth to Mikail Haziq on 4th November at 11plus am. Amacam best kan? Nak beranak lagi kan? Hehehe
- Hubby turned 31 on 8th November. We had a (not so romantic) hotel stay at Swissotel.
- Me and hubby celebrated our 2 yrs wedding anniversary on 11th November and we went on a Chinese Junk for dinner. Check out the details here: http://watertours.com.sg/schedule.html

Let's see now. Its been almost a month since I started work and how has it been so far?

So I check on Aqeel at least twice everyday, once before noon and another time around 4pm. So I've been diligently clearing mails and have started doing the norm, drafting, corresponding, irritating my colleagues.

But one thing came as a shock (or maybe not so) as I begin my routine of waking up at 5.30am, dropped Aqeel at mum's at 7am and arrived work at 8.30am: I become a shopaholic.

Why?

Maybe all that staying at home and changing gazillion nasty nappies caused this.

Lets see (or calculate rather), this past month alone, I've bought:

A belt from charles & keith (C&K)
Another belt from Cotton On Body (COB)
3 pairs of shoes from C&K (one black, another brown and another turquoise) (GAWD! Turquoise? What was I thinking???)
A bag from C&K (Just had to have it, cos my colleague brought hers to work and I fell in love with it and come on, theft IS A crime rite?)
A bag from Kate Spade (uhuh. went out for 3hr lunch to taka on one fine Friday, went to KS, got the bag and left)

And not forgetting the clothes I got from..er...everywhere I go? And then there's Aqeel's stuffs that I bought.

So yeah, I'm pretty broke. Actually I don't know that for sure cos I'm really scared to update that passbook or see that receipt when I do my withdrawals.

Someone please shake me out of my senses.

Oh, and does anybody have a C&K discount card? From all that spending I still haven't got myself a membership card. DUH!!! *slaps forehead*

I just found out that Aqeel's passport application was rejected because his photo was unclear and was not in accordance with ICA's standards.

Maybe they really should take a look at how difficult it is to take a picture of a flapping 3mth old whose idea of taking photos include kicking his mummy's chest and pulling mummy's hair.

Here's what happened when I tried taking his photos:

"Noooooooo...I don't want to take picture!!"

"Er......"

"Bluek!"

"Is this better mummy????!!!"

"I'm tired already lah..."

There. I GIVE UP...

She's finally OUT!!

Nurdarwisyah - Aqeel's latest cousin has arrived - all pink (her lips) and all black (her hair), the little darling is smart enough to pop on 080808, bringing a little luck to Aby & Tahirah. Here's a pic of her doing what she does best at the moment: SLEEPING!!

When we went to East Shore to visit her, deja vu hit me a little as I was reminded of leaving that place bringing little Aqeel home. Here's my little pumpkin at 3 months and 3 days. His hobby now includes scratching his face (and head), sucking his fingers (and hand) and flipping his ears (which was what he was doing at the moment this pic was taken)

You grow up so fast darling...
